The Building Regulations place firm emphasis on the requirements of the developer/contractor to deal with the rainwater drainage on site – plus minimum water efficiency requirements to meet sustainability targets.

A Rainwater Harvesting system provides an effective water attenuation and infiltration system as a means of reducing the impact of the rainwater discharge on site. In so doing, many of the site drainage requirements of building regulations can be satisfied, and thus ease the process of gaining planning permission.

  • Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
