Delivering Sustainable Water

Additional Features

We offer a range of additional features to enhance our systems and to meet a building’s particular requirements.

Monitoring Display Unit

KingspanWater offers a unique wall mounted monitoring unit. This informative display allows users to compare how much harvested rainwater has been used in relation to main water.

The panel shows the overall amount of rainwater and mains water used since a) the system was commissioned and b) consumed over a specific period.

The panel can be mounted remotely in a reception area or entrance lobby as required.

Booster Sets

Building designs may require water to be pumped over considerable distance (e.g, an airport terminal) or height (a multi-storey office or apartment building). In such instances the use of a booster system is required. A booster set comprises of a single or a series of pumps and often an accompanying holding tank.

Operating automatically, the booster is designed to ensure a balanced supply of main-water throughout the building.

The Envireau system is entirely compatible with booster sets and the plumbing infrastructure of large scale building designs. These systems can be sized to meet site-specific requirements.

Duty & Standby Pumps

For the majority of rainwater systems, a single submersible pump is supplied as standard, but for all our commercial systems we offer the option of a second pump.

This provides an additional duty and standby arrangement - this is where the pumps operate in sequence in order to extend their operating life and to provide back-up should a single pump fail.

UV Unit
UV Disinfection

UV (Ultra Violet) disinfection of water is achieved by exposing the rainwater to radiation from UV light. This makes the capture rainwater suitable for many applications that require higher levels of water quality.

This common method of disinfection works as the UV light penetrates an organisms cell walls and disrupts the cell genetic material (DNA) making reproduction impossible.

UV systems are simple to install and require minimal maintenance or space. Improved safety, minimum service time, low operation and maintenance costs and the absence of a chemical smell or taste in the finished water are primary factors for selecting UV technology rather than traditional disinfection technologies.
