The Envireau system uses a three-stage filtration system comprising, the leaf filter, the pump filter and the ‘In-line’ filter.
These components vary depending on scale, but any system includes this progressive filtering procedure.
Ultra Violet (UV) filters can also be added for additional purity if required.
The leaf filter takes out the leaves and grit to ensure that clean water enters the underground holding tank. The filters vary in size according to roof areas being served. These filters are self-cleansing
The pump filter is made from a stainless steel mesh of 220 micron gauge and should be removed annually for cleaning.
This filter has a stainless steel cartridge of 130 micron gauge and should be washed at 3 monthly intervals.
Rainwater Storage Tanks are carefully sized and selected to take into consideration factors such as roof water yield, projected water consumption and ground work criteria such a prevailing water table, soil conditions and requirements for trafficked access.
Putting the rainwater storage tank into the ground is the biggest task on any harvesting system’s installation agenda.
Logically, the prime time to install the tank is at the groundworking stage of the project’s construction schedule.
For retrofit installations, careful thought should be paid to both physical restrictions (e.g access to proposed tank location), plus any reparatory work that may be required after the install.
Pump units are selected to match the system specification and performance criteria to minimise maintenance and to ensure
the water is kept at an optimum supply pressure.
KingspanWater’s smart control makes the process of setting up the system simple and fast. The control panel also offers a multitude of monitoring functions so that management and fault-reporting (via the LCD display) is easy to do.
The intelligent control panel automatically self-configures the Envireau with a set-up wizard providing installers with a step-by-step guide through the whole process.
The LCD display panel gives homeowners real-time operating information about the system, including an accurate measure of the amount and temperature of the water in the tank, the pump pressure, and fault reporting.
