KingspanWater integrated systems are very low maintenance – The principle tasks involve the periodic checking of the filtration systems that capture dirt and debris from the roof area.
The general maintenance tasks are outlined below
Although not directly part of the Envireau system, it is good practice to ensure that these are occasionally inspected to ensure they are in good order and free of leaves & debris.
The storage tank is made from maintenance free materials (GRP or Polyethylene, depending on model). The water in the tank may build some visual sediment over time and this should be removed if excessive, but generally this is entirely normal and does not compromise the system’s safe operation.
The pump(s) unit within the Envireau systems is a maintenance free, sealed unit. It does not require any maintenance, apart from the attached filter(s) to be cleaned yearly (see below)
The primary filter that requires maintenance is the leaf filter – this is located in the top of the tank ‘turret’ of the commercial envireau systems.
Cleaning is quick and simple. The filter cartridge is simply lifted out and cleaned under a hose or tap and then slotted back into place. For larger capacity tanks the filter plate is accessible for in-situ pressure cleaning. We recommend this is done at quarterly intervals.
Envireau systems have two further filters - The pump filter should be inspected yearly and the ‘in-line’ filter (located with the building) should be inspected at the same time. Both require a simple rinse wash similar to the leaf filter above.
